Just watch this show last Sunday evening. It's a very different show. It doesn't focus on the guy-girl lovey dovey relationship, not on the action, not on the graphics.
But it's like what someone said, it does have some values behind the story line. Like I always like to say, this movie causes me to think. One of the thing that caught me the most is "Choices".
In life, we have to face choice everyday, all the time. To snooze or wake up, to eat nice food or eat healthy, to please God or to please self.
In the movie, when even a person went into the world of Imaginarium. They will have to make up their mind and chose. The choices or either from the monk, which is Dr. Parnassus (the good choices) or from the devil (the bad choices). And every time the choices is present. The good one seems to be harder and the bad seems so easy and accessible right there and then.
For example in the very beginning, there is a drunk guy went into it. He was lifted up high in the sky and he swear that he is going to stop drinking. When he is put in front of the choice, one side the the tall steps where it leads you to the good side and the other one, a pub that right next to him. Easy to access and offer what he likes the most.
To chose the right one, means that you have to be sweat and tired to climb up the stairs where to chose the I think supposedly is wrong, it's so easy.. you just need to walk in.
God created us and gave us freewill, to pick our own choice. He know what is the right choice for us but he never force us into it. To me, it seems most of the time the right choices are harder. With our own strength and own will, I guess is easier to chose the "bad" choice. But God send His helper, the Holy Spirit. To guide us and lead us to the right choices, Him.
I like the last part of the movie also, where Dr. Parnassus him self came before choices and he just kneel down and said, "It's enough. I don't want to chose anymore". Is like when we totally surrender to God. We don't have to worry so much of choices as He will guide us and lead us to the right path.
